The snow has been building up for a week now. A. WEEK.

Many work / school days have been canceled and it's been gr8.

But what's even better than no school is a day full of netflix marathons 

& a lil outdoor exploring. Those of you who know me know that going outside

is not something I make a habit of doing. However, the winter wonderland that has taken place outside of my house has pulled me from the comfort and heat of my bed.

It's nothing short of a Christmas miracle.

I got out today and despite being attacked by neighborhood dogs 

and potentially getting frostbite, I explored a local cemetery and got a few

promising yet v spooky shots. Enjoy!

This blizzard seems to be never-ending and I'm loving it.

School has been canceled all week, and I've taken so. many. pictures.

(I think I'm going to start a new lil segment called "From Above" and I'm going to post pictures of the sky / trees. yeah. we'll see.)

The day was spent listening to Benjamin Francis Leftwich on repeat and 

alternating between Bob's Burgers and Gilmore Girls on Netflix.

It doesn't get any better than that.

My Resolution

It's 2015, how rad is that

I did one of these cliche resolution posts last year about this time, and you guys really seemed to enjoy it, so I decided I'd do it again!

My 2015 New Year Resolutions are a lot different than most, 

for instance, I'm not going to claim to start exercising or procrastinating less, I'm not going claim that I'm going to do better in school, that's not what it's about.

This year it's being happy.

That's it, there you have it.

My one and only new years resolution is to be happy.

I haven't been truly happy in a long time, I've focused too much on making others happy, and that's beyond draining and unhealthy, and this year I'm getting back on track.

This year is about becoming happy with myself again. 

Physically.

Spiritually.

Mentally.

In every aspect of life.

This may sound like the most unoriginal resolution you've heard in your life, 

but I suggest you add be happy in your list somewhere.

Start living for you, become happy in your skin, do and wear what you want.

Live your own life and find happiness along the way.

This year I challenge you to find yourself; to find your happiness.

The Decision

It's December.

I haven't posted since October. 

I'm a terrible blogger, I am so so sorry.

BUT ON THE PLUS SIDE I HAVE FINALLY CREATED MY NEW URL/BLOG NAME.

It has honestly taken months to come up with this so I hope you all love it as much as I do.

However, I am ready to get back on the blogging scene. I'm ready to annoy the crap out of you all with music reviews & Goodwill hauls & stories about my cat & everything else!

I love you all so much and I hope that you'll come along on this new journey. A journey full of finding yourself, a journey full of fashion mishaps & fashion legacies, a journey full of life,but most importantly, a journey full of happiness. 

Considering we are only four days from the new year, I thought I would officially change my URL on January 1st. 

Thank you all for sticking by me through 2014, it's been an unbelievably stressful year, and I've had terrible posting habits, but 2015 is full of new opportunities & surprises! Can't wait to see you all in the New Year!

Fall Plans

Aye guys

How have you all been?! It's been so long since I've posted anything.

Alright first off, I'm still searching for blog names. I thought it was going to be waaaay easier! 

The one downside is that everything that I come up with is already taken.

This wouldn't bother me as much if the people who took the a m a z i n g URLs still used the blog, but they don't!! It's such a waste of blog names! UGH

But I'm still on the search for the perfect name. I've had a few ideas, but I don't want to settle on anything since I'm hoping this will be the only time that I actually have to change the name.

So please pray that I'll come up with something soon. 

Also, I have a few great post ideas that I'm saving for when I get everything revamped, just as a sort of kick off everything. So I'm super excited about that! 

GUYS IT'S ALREADY OCTOBER

HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

For the last 39 days(ish) I've been doing the #100happydays challenge, and I've really enjoyed it! It has definitely been helping me to recognize my blessings, and 

I thought that would be cool to tell you guys about it.

Huge changes are on their way { please read }

Hello everyone! 

As you can tell, I've been messing around with my blogs appearance today and while I was making those small changes I was inspired to completely redo this blog! 

I'm not starting over so to speak, I'm just going to change my URL and complete appearance..so I guess I am starting over? However I'm not going to delete this blog and create another entirely new account. Ya get me? Yeah it's complicated.. 

I am beyond excited for these changes!

I've had this blog for a little over a year now, and my personal style and taste has changed drastically. So I thought that since I've changed so much that my blog should reflect that. 

As far as I know the posts will be of the same variety, maybe a little more on schedule but otherwise the same. 

I hope you're as excited about the new changes as I am!
As soon as I decide on the new name, I will for sure let you all know!!

If I Stay {book & movie review}

Alright. Here's the thing. I wasn't the biggest fan of the book.

I honestly don't understand the hype, it took me sooo long to get through and it seemed to drag on and on and on. It disappointed me on so many levels. I expected it to be 100% different, so I guess that's my fault, but it just ughhhhh I expected so much more!

However the movie was seriously b r e a t h t a k i n g.

It was literally the only book-to-movie conversion 

that was actually better than the book!!! 

My mind was completely blown.

Like wow. It was just wow.

Amazing.

 {Please do yourself a favor and go watch it as soon as you possibly can}

But I went ahead and purchased the second book in hopes that it's automatically 10x better than the first one?

Yeah, not the best logic. I Know.

But I'm a somewhat optimistic reader.

Once I finish reading the second book I'll update this post with my thoughts and opinions on that one as well. 

*fingers crossed that it's better*

The cast was perfection, the soundtrack was so on point, and Jamie Blackley was just wow

Holy. Crap.
THIS IS SERIOUSLY SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE LIKE HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! 
I bought and finished this book in less than 24 hours and I'm just completely stunned at how much more of a storyline 
it had compared to the first one.
It was beautiful and the end was just. .wow. .I just I loved it. 
Definitely one of my favorites!

Also, thanks to a certain someone I have started watching Supernatural on Netflix, and I am completely and utterly hooked.

In 6 months this girl will be driving solo! HOLLA!

1. Writing.

I love love love keeping a journal. It's so cool being able to flip back a few pages and see how much your life has changed in such a short period of time. I also like to write poetry, but I'm terrible at it soooo yeah aha oh well.

2. Free outdoor concerts

Literally my favorite thing about living so close to Nashville.

There are so many free music opportunities; even if you're not a country music fan *raises hand* you can still find music festivals like the one I went to a few weeks ago. One of the bands had even played at Bonnaroo this past year! They were a m a z i n g. They call themselves ELEL, go check them out! The Apache Relay, Steelism, and The Promised Land also played. They were all beyond amazing, I definitely suggest giving them all a listen!

4. Henna Tattoos

On a recent trip to Ohio {Kings Island}, my friend Madison and I got henna tattoos, and we looooove them. They're so cute and last up to a few weeks!

Ok so this was my big purchase, and by big I mean the one I'm most excited about. I've been wanting Express jeans since I saw a jean catalogue in Teen Vogue some years ago claiming that they have the best fits and washes. My dream has finally come true, and they are now in my possession. I got them on sale, so let's hope they're worth it! 

I have more of a haul coming, but it hasn't arrived yet.
