TFIOS Feels

Well after reading The Fault In Our Stars twice,
[once in 2013 and then again two days ago]
I finally saw the movie today.
And is still cried.
Like a baby.

But I enjoyed it.
They did really well with the book to movie conversion.
Yeah. .the tears were a silent stream of pain.
But that's the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.

The feels are being felt, John. The feels are being felt.

Book It

[To start off, I'd like to thank the person who gave me this post idea, you know who you are.]
*wink wink*

It's no secret that I like to read. You can see that all over my Twitter, Goodreads, and Instagram accounts. With this being said, I'm extremely shocked to say that I've never put a list of my favorites on here. Like come on, that's insane! So here it is. .the list of my favs.
{below each image will be a description of the book from amazon}

1. thirteen reasons why
by jay asher

Ok this book tho. It's super depressing but will forever reign as one of my favorites.
{Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a strange package with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers several cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker - his classmate and crush - who committed suicide two weeks earlier. Hannah's voice tells him that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out why. Clay spends the night crisscrossing his town with Hannah as his guide. He becomes a firsthand witness to Hannah's pain, and learns the truth about himself-a truth he never wanted to face.}

2. city of bones
by cassandra clare

{When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...}

3. the fault in our stars
by john green
Cliche I know.
If you want to get your heart ripped out of your chest, this is the book for you.
It is a real tear jerker. I cried for hours.
{Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.}

4. the book their
by Markus zusak

This is not my type of book whatsoever, but I ended up loving it. It was completely different than anything I've ever read.

{It is 1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier, and will become busier still. Liesel Meminger is a foster girl living outside of Munich, who scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can’t resist–books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement.}

5. man repeller seeking love. finding overalls.
by leandra medine

Yay! Finally fashion related!
{Silk parachute pants. A gold lamé jumpsuit. Ankle boots with fringe. Were these fashion-forward items sending men running in the opposite direction? Maybe, but Leandra Medine never cared. Slipping into drop-crotch shorts and a boxed sequin blazer in the dressing room of Topshop in downtown Manhattan, a brokenhearted Leandra had an epiphany. Looking in the mirror, she suddenly realized she didn't have a boyfriend because of the way she dressed. And the more she thought about it, the more she realized that such outfits said a lot about her life-romantic and otherwise. Now, in her first book, the acclaimed blogger and fashion darling recounts her most significant memories through the lens of her sartorial choices. With her signature sass, blunt honesty, and some personal photos, Leandra shares details of when and why she realized her grandma's vintage Hermès ostrich skin clutch could hold much more than just keys and a cell phone. Through it all, she proves you don't need to compromise even your most repellent qualities to find your way into that big white dress (and an organza moto jacket). See? You can have your yeti and wear it, too.}

happy reading!

Those of you who follow me on Instagram already know that a few weeks ago I finally watched Breakfast At Tiffany's.  To say that I liked it would be a major understatement. I'd give the movie a 5 star rating just for the clothes 'Holly' wears! Like come on! They're so classy!

7// God's Not Dead
I just got back from seeing God's Not Dead, and that movie is --wow-- it's insane. I was moved to the point of tears quite a few times throughout the film. It was so inspiring.  All I can say is that it's a must see for everyone. By the end I was definitely feeling uplifted I felt like my faith grew 5x stronger. Just by watching a movie! Like that's amazing! Ahhhh just go see it for yourself. You won't regret it.

8// I have 4 new favorite Instagram accounts. They are jewels in the Instagram community, and everyone needs to follow them. Their posts are flawless in every way possible.

If you blog, I suggest you get yourself a copy of this book. It will improve your photography skills to levels unimaginable. I'm not entirely sure where all you can buy it, but I know for a fact that it's available at Urban Outfitters and online on Amazon.

Serious Sas & Messy Magda Book Review!

Hello! I was presented with the chance to review a children's book from an author I have great respect for and I totally took it!  The book is Serious Sas & Messy Magda by Marianne de Pierres and  Rachel Annie Brigden. The book is about a serious, plain jane child (Sas) with a crazy, wild, and fun mother (Magda)! The differences between them cause Sas to be embarrassed while her mother is around.

This book is beyond adorable! The illustrations are extremely colorful and creative. I, at 15, thought it was a super cute read! The book definitely provides an amazing message that kids need to learn at a young age: if you continue to be yourself, you will be loved for who you are. It also shows that not everyone is the same and I love that. This is definitely a book every kid needs to read!

I know Christmas was yesterday, but if you have yet to get a little one a gift, definitely consider purchasing this book! It's available on Amazon here and here. It's also available from the Book Depository here and Fishpond here.

So that's tonight. .

Hello! Alright guys. My posting schedule has sucked these past few weeks. It's been terrible. But the thing is. .I'm just not inspired at the moment. I have no idea what to post/write about and I need help. If you have any suggestions, please comment below! I am absolutely stuck.

Also I love iOS7 if y'all were wondering! It's fab. .although my phone has sporadically shut off and back on twice. .and the battery life is beyond terrible. Other than those minor setbacks it's great!

I finished Starcrossed and let me tell you it was amazing. I'm reading Dreamless now (which is the second one in the trilogy).

Guys. I passed my second big test in biology with a 98. That is an amazing score considering I got a 69 on the last one. And no I am not someone who makes Fs or Ds or even Cs so I was extremely upset. I am a straight A student and have been the majority of my life so I was a happy camper with the 98!!

* quick inhale of breath * GUYS THE ALT-J CONCERT IS TONIGHT AHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!! Buuut the concert is at 8pm and I still have n idea what I'm going to wear. Boo. :(

But all in all, I'm doing better. I think I went through a small depression phase recently and I just haven't been myself. So if you could just keep me in your thoughts and prayers that would be great. And don't worry I wasn't hating myself for anything, I was just extremely stressed with my school work and just I don't even know, but I'm starting to get better. :)

Well That's Cool!

Hello! Guys I have literally taken a break from everything since Tuesday. I haven't posted on here, I haven't had any homework, no tests, nothing. It has been wonderful.

While I was taking a little break from some of the more stressful things (mentioned above) I started reading a new book, redone my tumblr, and discovered an amazing new Instagram account!

I've been reading Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini and let me tell you holy cow this book is amazing. It's spectacular! It has some Greek mythology tied into it and it's just wow. I cannot explain how much I ship (if you don't know what shipping something is, click here) Lucas and Helen. You do not understand. You can buy the book from amazon here or read a description of the book here.

Now onto the Instagram account. Ok it's beyond fab. 2 girls own it and post the best quotes in town. .or in the world. It's just a cute little girly quote acc with not many followers and they deserve so much more omg. It's that fab. I gave them a shoutout recently on my account, but if you're not following me, here it is. It's flowersinherhair17. Enjoy!

My tumblr is no longer lovelychic-simplyme guys. It is now. .drum roll please. .sweaterwhethr and I love it so much. I changed the name, template, pic, style, everything. Feel free to check it out! It's more me now. .not just bows and ball gowns, but like music, indie, flowers, etc. It's amazing. The name was inspired by many things. a) I love sweaters b) I love fall, aka sweater weather c) sweaterweather was taken so I thought sweaterwhether would be cool but that was also taken so it's sweaterwhethr. It's kind of like a confusion. .it makes people think. And d) I love the song Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood :)

Well that's all folks. .I don't have school tomorrow or Tuesday and I'm going to a concert Saturday so I'm ecstatic about this week! To top it off 2 (or 3) of my school friends are spending the night tonight and it's gonna be fab. Check my Insta for pics to come! (Or just stare at my sidebar until my Insta slideshow changes!)

Love you guys!

xoxo, katie
